DOT TODMAN

Singer, Songwriter, author, teacher, and sought-after Celebrity Vocal Empowerment Coach, Dot Todman is finally releasing music of her own.

Teaching music since the age of 14, and a professional singer since 16, Dot has toured North America in performance groups, taught Music, Drama and Choir in High Schools, directed regional church choirs of over 500 people in classical and contemporary Music, performed in concerts of her own, and vocal coached +20K people, such as Chrissy Metz (Star from This is Us), Tay Zonday, Victoria Justice and contestants on American Idol and The Voice.

Her inspiring musical gift led her to become an award-winning songwriter, jazz quintet singer, and musical writer and director.

In 1995, Dot was a signed artist and released a spiritual album of her own, entitled “Songs of the Soul.” She also gained experience as a studio singer for TV commercials and sang for Actor Jeff Goldblum’s “The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra” Jazz Band. During her professional career, Dot earned a triple degree in Music, Theatre Arts Education and Psychology, as well as a Teaching Certificate.

Diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and hyperthyroidism, in 2003, she decided to put her singing career on hold. Focused on healing, she deeply explored health, nutrition, and mind soul body awareness, taking her life and career to the next level. She created CORE Vocal Power® and became one of the first coaches to combine Eastern and Western philosophy, adding metaphysics to the mix of helping people rewire their nervous system to perform better.

Now, Dot is finally resuming her singing career. In 2019, she shared the stage with Bobby McFerrin at the SF Jazz Center and wrote a one-woman interactive Vocal Empowerment Musical that sold out in Los Angeles.

The pandemic ruled out her dreamed 2020 musical tour, so she worked in-house with her band and began to complete the long-awaited unfinished music that lived within her soul (and on tape cassettes). This summer, Dot is releasing her own single “Just Be”, the first of many to come.
